360 Tactical's Introductory Course in Miami is designed for people who have never fired a gun. It costs $175 per person, runs 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Homestead Training Center, and requires no prior experience. Students bring their own firearm and ammunition — we do not rent firearms. The class is taught by NRA Certified Instructor Rolando Echeverria and covers safety, fundamentals, and live fire under direct supervision.
You Are Not Behind
The most common thing we hear on the range is some version of "I feel stupid, I don't know anything." Every student who has ever shot well started exactly where you are.
There is no test to pass before you show up. You do not need to know what a magazine is, what caliber means, or how to load anything. The class is built in the correct order — understand the firearm, handle it safely with no ammunition present, then and only then fire it.
What Happens in the Class
Hour 1 — Safety and the firearm itself
The four universal safety rules, how a pistol works, nomenclature, how to load and unload, how to clear a malfunction, and safe storage at home. All of this happens with no live ammunition.
Hour 2 — Handling and fundamentals
Grip, stance, sight alignment, sight picture, breathing, and trigger control. Dry practice until the motions feel natural.
Hours 3 and 4 — Live fire
Your first shots, on a controlled line, with an instructor beside you. We start close and slow. Accuracy first, speed never. By the end most students are grouping shots on target at practical distance.
What to Bring
Every student brings their own firearm and ammunition — we do not rent firearms. If you have not bought one yet, call before you book and we will talk through what to look for.
- Your own firearm and ammunition — we do not rent
- Eye and ear protection (mandatory)
- Pants or shorts with a real belt (mandatory)
- Closed-toe shoes or boots — no sandals or crocs
- Water, sunscreen, hat, and mosquito repellent
- A shirt with a high neckline (hot brass finds low necklines)
Common Worries, Answered Honestly
"Will it hurt?"
No. Recoil from a standard handgun is a firm push, not pain.
"Will it be loud?"
Yes — which is why hearing protection is mandatory and we check yours fits before anyone fires.
"What if I panic?"
You set the firearm down on the bench pointed downrange and step back. That is a completely acceptable outcome and nobody makes a thing of it.
"What if I'm the only woman there?"
You will not be, but if you would prefer it, we run ladies-only training too.
"I don't own a gun yet."
Then call us first. We do not rent firearms, so you will need one to take the class — but we would much rather talk you through choosing it than have you buy the wrong thing.
Where This Leads
The Introductory Course is the first rung of a ladder. After it you can move to the Intermediate Course ($200), then the Advanced Course ($200), and on to tactical carbine or low-light training.
